emusic.com*

Emusic.com, an online music subscription-based service, with a curated quality of mostly Indie music, is not nearly as popular as iTunes. Some music lovers criticize music downloading for lacking the “discovery” quality of a record store.

We suggest that emusic tart a music sharing program where users can geotag songs and “leave” them in certain locations for other listeners to find. This makes the music downloading process a more social event, allowing tech savvy users to connect through music and locations using smart phones and laptops. Promotion would include a new iPhone app, print ads, and using stickybits to deliver actual free music downloads right to customers' phones.

Bringing geolocating technology to music lovers seems to be the next step in musical discovery.
