Share the Like - from U.S. Cellular*

In a creative exercise, Super Todd 5000 and I asked ourselves, is there a really cool way U.S. Cellular could expand their "Be Happy" campaign in social media?

Yes. After all, they have the happiest customers in wireless. And they have the highest number of Facebook likes in the wireless industry. Let's do something to turn like into love. For Valentine's Day. 

It starts with a text to all of U.S. Cellular's customers. Urging them to share the reason they like their service.

 

Customers will like U.S. Cellular on Facebook and then send a valentine with their reason for liking the brand. (click to enlarge)

As the number of likes rises, so will the number of Valentine statuses received by U.S. Cellular. You could imagine how their wall would fill up with compliments. (click to enlarge)

U.S. Cellular will then perform random acts of "amazing love" that will surprise and delight people who like U.S. Cellular. These random acts will include gifts chosen based on the reasons people like U.S. Cellular. Can you say viral?

Take Chad for instance. If he doesn't get some "amazing love," his friends still see that he loves his phone service with U.S. Cellular. If he does win some "amazing love," U.S. Cellular will be impressing all of Chad's friends, too! (click to enlarge)


As people text in their compliments and set their Valentine status, their compliment will be collected and displayed in a dynamic, heart-shaped web visualizer. As the reasons repeat themselves, the compliment will appear more like a tag cloud. (click to enlarge)

The reasons would then be collected and used in a series of posters... showing why customers love U.S. Cellular. In their own words. (click to enlarge)

The poster execution would look great in a bus shelter.

And the poster would look even more impressive in a series of wild postings.
